A RESOLUTION acknowledging Carmelo "Chee-Bay" Guastello for his endless contributions to the North End community and congratulating him on the honor of a street sign bearing the name of "Chee-Bay Way" posted at the intersection of Missouri and Pacific on his 81st birthday.

Body
WHEREAS, Carmelo "Chee-Bay" Guastello, one of four children born to Italian (Sicilian) immigrants Josephine and Mario Guastello, is a life long resident of the North End community; and,
WHEREAS, Chee-Bay and his wife, Rose Vigliaturo Guastello, are well respected pillars of the community and have provided a neighborhood gathering place over a 40 year period for four generations of neighbors, family, and friends; and,
WHEREAS, the North End community overwhelmingly recommended the honorary street name of Chee-Bay Way to show their sincere gratitude for the love, support, and memories given to them by the solid presence of the Guastello family; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature commends Carmelo "Chee-Bay" Guastello for his innumerable contributions, extends sincere appreciation for his service to the North End community, and wishes him success and enjoyment in all of his future endeavors.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
