RESOLUTION NO. 22173, February 9, 2026

 

INTRODUCED BY Sean E. Smith, County Legislator

 

Body

 WHEREAS, Lorelei L. Smith began working at the Jackson County Election Board in February of 2004; and,

 

WHEREAS, Mrs. Smith faithfully served the citizens of Jackson County as a Poll Coordinator and Nursing Home Supervisor, demonstrating exceptional dedication to the integrity of election processes; and,

 

WHEREAS, during her tenure, Mrs. Smith played a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, transparency and efficiency of local elections for over 20 years; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Jackson County Election Board has greatly benefited from Lorelei Smith’s commitments, earning the respect of both colleagues and election officials throughout Jackson County, now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED that the Jackson County Legislature hereby honors and congratulates Mrs. Lorelei L. Smith on the occasion of her retirement, expressing sincere appreciation for her time and dedication to Jackson County.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
