WHEREAS, the Kansas City Shepherd's Center has, for the past six years, honored individuals in our community who continue to make significant contributions after retirement through the Kansas City's 70 Over 70 program; and,
WHEREAS, these honorees represent a diverse array of fields including art, business, philanthropy, and more, demonstrating the enduring impact of their contributions to the community; and,
WHEREAS, the 2024 Class of Kansas City's 70 Over 70 exemplifies excellence, dedication, and a commitment to improving Kansas City, showcasing the wisdom and experience of our elders; and,
WHEREAS, Janet Baker, the Executive Director of the Shepherd Center, has aptly noted that these individuals are the builders of our city and continue to shape its future, offering invaluable lessons and insights from their life experiences; and,
WHEREAS, the following distinguished individuals have been named to the 2024 Class of Kansas City's 70 Over 70:
