Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 2913 dated April 12, 1999, and Ordinance 3008 dated March 13, 2000, the County Legislature authorized the County Executive to execute a Memorandum of Understanding, and First Addendum thereto, respectively, with the Board of Police Commissioners for the Midwest High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (H.I.D.T.A.) Kansas City Metropolitan Enforcement Initiative Task Force; and,

WHEREAS, the parties now desire to further modify certain terms of the agreement by extending it for a one month period, as amended; and,

WHEREAS, the attached Second Addendum to Memorandum of Understanding provides a suitable mechanism by which to implement the understanding of the parties; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into the Second Addendum, a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein by reference, to the Memorandum of Understanding with the Board of Police Commissioners, as amended, in regard to the Kansas City Metropolitan Enforcement Initiative Task Force.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
