Title
A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute addenda to the agreements with certain outside agencies funded by the County's Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund for the 2007-2008 fiscal years, which are engaged in anti-drug treatment activities and purposes, at an aggregate cost to the County not to exceed $2,965,378.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the COMBAT Commission has recommended that the County Executive be authorized to execute agreements with certain outside agencies engaged in anti-drug treatment activities for services from January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2008; and,
WHEREAS, the COMBAT Commission recommended funding for the 2007 fiscal year as outlined in the attached Final Recommendation Summary, at the March 8, 2007, meeting; and,
WHEREAS, the funding levels for the 2008 fiscal year will be recommended by the COMBAT Commission in connection with the adoption of the 2008 budget; and,
WHEREAS, the execution of agreements for the services of these agencies, in the amounts indicated, is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute agreements with certain outside agencies listed on the attached Final Recommendation Summary, in the respective amounts indicated, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreements.
