Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No.128-01 for the furnishing of inmate food service for use by the Corrections Department; and,

WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon the following:

Baton Rouge, LA $1.008

Oak Brook Terrace, IL $1.048

and,


WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to ABL Management of Baton Rouge, LA, for the reason that, while not the lowest bidder, it has submitted the lowest and best bid as set forth in the attached recapitulation and analysis; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
