Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 12355, dated September 21, 1998, the Legislature authorized the County Executive to enter into an agreement with the Curators of the University of Missouri to provide the local match to a federal grant for its UMKC Addictions Training Center's Prevention Specialist Preparation Program at a cost to the County of $46,000; and,
WHEREAS, the University has requested an additional amount of $46,000 to continue this program; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has carefully reviewed this proposal from the University and recommends the expenditure of these funds; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the attached Agreement, a copy of which is incorporated herein by reference, with the Curators of the University of Missouri at Kansas City; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payments on this Agreement...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
