A RESOLUTION authorizing the Prosecuting Attorney to execute an agreement with the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation and Affiliated Trusts for its Project NeighborH.O.O.D. program, to provide a local match to a private grant, in an amount not to exceed $185,000.

Body
WHEREAS, the voters of Jackson County, Missouri, approved imposition of the sales tax for seven (7) years to provide funding for the fight against illegal drugs in our community; and,
WHEREAS, the Legislature authorized matching funds through Ordinance 2373; and,
WHEREAS, the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation and Affiliated Trusts has received a grant from The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in the amount of $600,000.00, for the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation and Affiliated Trust's Project NeighborH.O.O.D. program; and,
WHEREAS, the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation and Affiliated Trust has requested matching funds in the amount of $185,000 to continue the program; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this request and recommends funding in the amount of $110,000 from her grant match account; and,
WHEREAS, the Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fiscal Commission has reviewed this request and recommends funding in the amount of $75,000 from its grant match account; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Prosecuting Attorney is hereby authorized to execute the attached agreement with the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation and Affiliated Trusts; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is hereby authorized to make all payments, including final payment on this Agreement...Attorney
