Body
WHEREAS, Project NeighborH.O.O.D. has received a three-year grant from The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in the amount of $1,861,889.00, for participation in the Foundation's Fighting Back: Community Initiatives to Reduce Demand for Illegal Drugs and Alcohol Program; and,
WHEREAS, Project NeighborH.O.O.D. has requested County Anti-Drug Sales Tax matching funds in the amount of $150,000.00 to implement the program in 2000; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this request and recommends the expenditure of these funds; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein by reference, with Project NeighborH.O.O.D.; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is hereby authorized to make all payments, including final payment on this Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
