Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation Department recommends execution of a joint funding agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, with the United States Geological Survey ("USGS") for the USGS to provide technical design assistance in development of an exhibit depicting the geological history and geomorphology near Fort Osage, Missouri at a cost to the County not to exceed $12,000.00 which is to be paid from available grant monies; and,
WHEREAS, the term of the Agreement is from October 1, 2005 to September 30, 2006; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a joint funding agreement with the United States Geological Survey for technical design assistance with interpretive exhibits for the Fort Osage Education Center at a cost to the County not to exceed $12,000.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be, and hereby is, authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
