Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 17860 dated March 19, 2012, the Legislature did award eight-year leases for the planting and harvesting of hay and crops on County park land, under the terms and conditions of Invitation to Bid No. 17-12; and,
WHEREAS, bidder Robert Hertzog of Greenwood, MO, was awarded leases on several crops located at Longview Lake and was awarded a lease for harvesting of hay at Fleming Park; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Hertzog has now indicated that he would like to withdraw certain parts of his bid for the Longview Lake crop harvesting and he is declining the bid award for the harvesting of hay at Fleming Park; and,
WHEREAS, after reviewing Mr. Hertzog's request, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that fields 7 and 11 included in the Invitation to Bid No. 17-12 be removed, resulting in a revised bid of $14,190.00 as payment for crop harvesting at Longview Lake; and,
WHEREAS, the Director further recommends that the bid for hay harvesting at Fleming Park be re-awarded to Joseph Hand of Holden, MO, in the amount of $2,828.00, as the second highest bid submitted for hay harvesting at Fleming Park under Invitation to Bid 17-12; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the portion of Resolution 17860, dated March 19, 2012, awarding a contract for the harvesting of hay at Fleming Park to Robert Hertzog of Greenwood, MO, is hereby rescinded; and,
