Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works desires to make road improvements on Liggett Road from Lake Jacomo Dam to the Blue Springs City limits in Project No. 2449; and,
WHEREAS, the Missouri Highway Transportation Commission ("MHTC"), has proposed to provide partial reimbursement for these improvements under a Surface Transportation Agreement, STP-1204 (401), a copy of which is attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, under this Agreement, the County will pay the up front costs for the project at an estimated cost of $2,200,000.00 and upon acceptance of the completed project, the MHTC will forward the County a federal reimbursement check for the total sum of $1,282,800.00 in fiscal year 2010; and,
WHEREAS, the Acting Director of Public Works recommends execution of the Agreement; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Agreement with MHTC.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
