Body
WHEREAS, it is with profound sorrow that we acknowledge the tragic loss of Kansas City Fire Department Firefighter Paramedic Graham Hoffman, who passed away on April 27th, 2025, from injuries sustained in the line of duty; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Hoffman was a compassionate, caring, and loving individual, described by his fellow firefighters and academy classmates as a leader both on and off the job; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Hoffman began his firefighting career at the Belton Fire Department, where his kind, soft-spoken, and witty personality quickly endeared him to colleagues and the community alike; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Hoffman joined the Kansas City Fire Department in 2022, serving with distinction at Station 42 in southeast Kansas City and demonstrating unwavering dedication to his profession and the citizens he served; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Hoffman was known for his exceptional professionalism, earning the admiration of his peers, the trust of his patients, and the love of his community, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, skill, and selflessness; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Hoffman's tragic passing while working overtime in Kansas City's Northland is a stark reminder of the risks faced by first responders who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving others; and,
WHEREAS, the Legislature honors the life and service of Firefighter Paramedic Graham Hoffman, expresses deepest condolences to his family, friends, and the Kansas City Fire Department, and recognizes his extraordinary contributions to the safety and well-being of our community; now therefore,
