Body
WHEREAS, the County did, by Ordinance 2190, dated March 1, 1993, enter into a contract with Max Rieke and Brothers, Inc., in the actual amount of $3,532,451.72, for the construction of the View High Drive Project, Nos. 2194, 2195, and 2250; and,

WHEREAS, subsequent change orders have adjusted the contract amount to the current authorization of $3,768,144.66; and,

WHEREAS, the proposed Change Order No. 6 (Final), a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is necessary to adjust all quantities to as-built quantities as set forth in the original contract and will result in a decrease of $96,462.18 in the contract amount; and,

WHEREAS, all work contemplated by the original contract has been completed and is fully acceptable to the County; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that Change Order No. 6 (Final) to the aforesaid contract is approved and the Director of Public Works is authorized to execute the change order on behalf of the County; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make final payment on the contract, and to release the encumbrance on the contract balance of $96,462.18.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
