Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 84-96 for a term and supply contract for the furnishing of Chevrolet automobile O.E.M. parts for use by various County departments to provide for their needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon bids from the following:
VENDOR BID
Heartland Chevrolet
Liberty, Missouri low
Midway Warehouse 4% higher
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
A & A Industrial District 18% higher
Kansas City, KS
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Heartland Chevrolet of Liberty, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriation to the using spending agency has heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
