Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 52-97 for the construction of a maintenance building addition for use by the Parks and Recreation Department at Adair Park; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon bids from the following:

Carney Excavating, Inc. $53,430.52
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
Blue Hills Homes Corp. $57,874.74
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
Gervy Construction, Inc. $64,098.00
Independence, MO
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Carney Excavating, Inc., of Kansas City, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, except final payment on the contract...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
