WHEREAS, it was with great sorrow to family and friends to learn of the death of Aleck Bratt; and,

WHEREAS, Mr. Bratt, an active and loyal Jackson County political activist, faithfully served as a member of the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority from 1977 to 1982, during which time he served as Treasurer for two years and Chairman for three years; and,

WHEREAS, he was also instrumental in the planning and construction of Park Lane Hospital, having served as its first board chairman from 1978-1979; and,

WHEREAS, Mr. Bratt served as president of both Jake Bratt and Sons Auto Parts and Lone Eagle Auto Parts and at his death was serving as president of Wornall Auto Parts; and,

WHEREAS, he also served as president of the Kansas City Auto Wreckers Association, and past director of the National Auto Wreckers Association; and,

WHEREAS, Mr. Bratt was a member of Congregation Beth Shalom, Jewish Community Center, B'nai B'rith #184, and the board of the Jewish Geriatric Center; and,

WHEREAS, he also served as a member of the Board of Directors and a lifetime trustee of the Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, chairman of the Sheffield Cemetery Committee, member of the Jewish Education Council and Board of Governors of the Greater Kansas City Jewish Federation; and,

WHEREAS, Mr. Bratt was an Army veteran of World War II and a lifelong area resident;

WHEREAS, Mr. Bratt will be missed by those who knew and loved him, and will be remembered fondly for his honesty, fairness, and toughness; and,
