WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Public Safety has awarded the Prosecuting Attorney's office a grant in the amount of $23,700.00 to cover the cost of a victim advocate for its Victim Services Program; and,

WHEREAS, said grant is subject to a $5,925.00 local match for which a transfer and appropriation are necessary; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1997 Grant Fund:
