Body
WHEREAS, in connection with the remodeling of office space at the Division 28 Courtroom and offices at the Jackson County Courthouse on the Square in Independence, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 36-99 for the furnishing and installation of HVAC equipment; and,

WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest two bids thereon bids from the following:

Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

Midwest Mechanical Service $149,054.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

and,


WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Lippert Mechanical Service Corp. of Kansas City, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest bid; and,

WHEREAS, in the event that change orders to the contract become necessary due to the time constraints involved in completion of this phase of work, it is appropriate that the County Executive be given authority to approve additional expenditures under this contract not to exceed $6,600.00, which is approximately 5% of the contract amount; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County...
