Body
WHEREAS, §1540 (iv), Jackson County Code, 1984 requires the Legislature to appoint two members of the Pension Plan Administration Committee; and,
WHEREAS, a vacancy currently exists on the committee due to the resignation from County employment of Legislative Auditor Kelly Markham Stegall, one of the Legislature's appointees; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County that Legislative Auditor Gary Panethiere be appointed to fill this vacancy on the committee; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that Gary Panethiere be and hereby is appointed to the Pension Plan Administration Committee to fill the vacancy occasioned by the resignation of Kelly Markham Stegall, for an indefinite term.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
