Body
WHEREAS, various County departments have a continuing need for the furnishing of body armor with related accessories, equipment, and services; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a forty-five-month term and supply contract with three twelve-month options to extend for the furnishing of body armor with related accessories, equipment, and services to Galls, LLC, of Lexington, KY, under the terms and conditions set forth in Sourcewell Contract No. 091924, an existing competitively bid contract; and,
WHEREAS, the Director recommends award under section 1030.4, Jackson County Code, 1984, for the reason that this will allow the County to take advantage of discounts offered to large entities; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases remaining subject to annual appropriation, with an annual estimated spending of $86,000.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made under the existing competitively bid contract as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
