WHEREAS, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Invitation to Bid No. 25-044 for the furnishing of tree removal services for use by various County departments; and,
WHEREAS, a total of eight hundred and fifty (850) notifications were distributed and viewed, and two (2) responses were received and evaluated; one (1) submission was eliminated as the Compliance Review Office determined the vendor did not provide sufficient good faith effort in meeting assigned compliance goals; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a twenty-four-month term and supply contract, with one twelve-month option to extend, for the furnishing of tree removal service for use by various County departments to Looks Great Services of Columbia, MS; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with availability of funds for specific purchases subject to annual appropriation with an estimated annual expenditure of $215,000.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award and any necessary extension; and,
