Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 84-01 for the furnishing of a motorgrader for use by the Public Works Department; and,

WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon the following:

VENDOR BID (Including trade-in)
Cooke Sales & Service Co. $101,468.00
Chillicothe, MO

The Victor L. Phillips Co. of $115,318.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co. of $129,990.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

and,

WHEREAS, he has recommended that award be made to Cooke Sales & Service Co. of Chillicothe, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and,
WHEREAS, the acquisition of this new motorgrader has rendered an existing 1985 Champion Model 8400 Motorgrader, MG-02, Serial Number 730A13714522282, as surplus property; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to ยง1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of this 1985 Champion Model 8400 Motorgrader by way of trade-in; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
