Body
WHEREAS, section 50.535 of Missouri Revised Statutes states that the fees collected to process concealed carry permit applications will be placed in a separate interest-bearing fund, and may be used specifically for equipment, training, and other necessary expenditures to process applications including employment of additional personnel; and,
WHEREAS, the Sheriff has directed the creation of one new Sergeant position responsible for oversight of the Conceal and Carry Weapon program, and has directed the use of the Conceal & Carry Weapon Fund for the position's salary; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary in order to place the money in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made:
