Body
WHEREAS, the County and Youthnet desire to enter into an agreement whereby the County will pay Youthnet $50,000 to be used to assist in the Summer Homebase Initiative program; and,

WHEREAS, AT&T has made a commitment of $25,000.00 to this program and is also willing to commit an additional $175,000.00 to community-based programs; and,

WHEREAS, in order to fund this program a transfer within the 1996 General Fund is necessary; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends such transfer; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 1996 General Fund be and hereby is made:

and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the agreement is hereby approved and the County Executive is authorized to execute the agreement, in a form satisfactory to the County Counselor, on behalf of the County; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on this agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
