Body
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has applied to the Jackson County Board of Services for the Developmentally Disabled for funding assistance for the Department's Special Recreation Division and Special Population Services for 2005; and,
WHEREAS, the Board has agreed to provide a maximum sum of $201,595.00, to assist the Division with its United Cerebral Palsy Sports, Special Olympics, exception leagues, day camps, classes, and social events programs pursuant to the attached agreement; and,
WHEREAS, execution of this agreement with the Board is in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached agreement with the Jackson County Board of Services for the Developmentally Disabled.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
