Body
WHEREAS, the Heritage Philharmonic is a non-profit organization founded in 1944 to provide the Jackson County community with excellent, affordable, and convenient orchestral music programs; and,

WHEREAS, the Heritage Philharmonic will be hosting the Music of America 70th Anniversary Concert event, June 13, 2015, at the Harry S Truman Presidential Library and has submitted a request for sponsorship in the amount of $1,000.00; and,

WHEREAS, in exchange for its sponsorship, Jackson County will receive advertising and recognition in the event program, website, and social media; and,

WHEREAS, said sponsorship is in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,


BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to issue a check to the Heritage Philharmonic, in the amount of $1,000.00 for sponsorship of its Music in America 70th Anniversary Concert.



Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
