Body
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is in need of a vendor for repair services for its International dump trucks; and,
WHEREAS, Rush Truck Centers of Kansas City, MO is the closest truck repair shop that is capable of repairing the specialized equipment on the international dump trucks; and,
WHEREAS, the dump trucks are needed for daily operation for the annual Road Program and during inclement weather; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works recommends the award of a twelve-month term and supply contract, with one twelve-month option to extend to Rush Truck Centers of Kansas City, MO, for the repair of International dump trucks for use by the Public Works Department; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.1, Jackson County Code, 1984, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing and the Director of Public Works recommend the award of a twelve-month term and supply contract, with one twelve-month option to extend, for the furnishing of dump truck repair to Rush Truck Centers of Kansas City, MO, as a sole source purchase; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the contract be awarded as recommended by the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing and the Director of Public Works and that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award, with annual estimated usage of $80,000.00; and,
