A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute addenda to the Cooperative Agreements with First Call, Healing House, and Synergy Services for the furnishing of drug treatment and/or prevention programs for use by COMBAT, at an aggregate additional cost to the County not to exceed $50,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 19396, dated February 27, 2017, the Legislature did authorize the execution of Cooperative Agreements with First Call, at a cost to the County not to exceed $75,000.00, and Healing House, at a cost to the County not to exceed $135,000.00, to provide anti-drug treatment programs; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 19434, dated March 27, 2017, the Legislature did authorize the execution of a Cooperative Agreement with Synergy Services for the furnishing of anti-drug and anti-violent crime prevention services, at a cost to the County not to exceed $37,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, at its meeting on May 9, 2017, the Drug Commission recommended increases to these Cooperative Agreements in the amounts indicated:
AGENCY INCREASED FUNDING
First Call $25,000.00
Healing House $15,000.00
Synergy Services $10,000.00
and,
WHEREAS, the recommended increases will provide additional funding for the furtherance of anti-drug and anti-violent crime activities and purposes; and,
WHEREAS, execution of addenda with these agencies is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute addenda to the Agreements with First Call, Healing House, and Synergy, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
