AN ORDINANCE appropriating $46,863.31 from the unappropriated surplus of the 2004 Federal Forfeiture Fund, and awarding a contract on Electronic Solicitation No. BB200445 for the furnishing of tactical team firearms, firearm accessories, vests, and ballistic helmets, to Adamson Police Products of Hayward, CA ($17,133.72) and Ed Roehr of St. Louis, MO ($34,487.55), in an actual aggregate amount of $51,621.27.

WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Electronic Solicitation to Bid No. BB200445 for the purchase of tactical team firearms, firearm accessories, vests and ballistic helmets; and,
WHEREAS, after evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director has recommended that the contract be split and awarded to the vendors submitting the low bid for each category of items; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in actual awards to the vendors as follows:

WHEREAS, in order to fund this expenditure, an appropriation is necessary; and,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 2004 Federal Forfeiture Fund:
