ORDINANCE # 3213, December 3, 2001

Body
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "GB" (General Business) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District GB a tract of land described as follows:
Description: A 19 ± acre tract of land adjacent on the east to Oak Grove city limits and is generally on the east side of Salem Street between 8th Street and 10th Street and legally described beginning at a point 665feet north of southeast corner of southwest 1/4 then north 654 feet then west 1,305 feet to a point on east line Salem Street right-of-way then South 334 feet more or less along said right-of-way then 321.36 feet along right-of-way to a point on north line of North Main Street right-of-way then east 1,305 feet to a point of beginning lying in the southwest quarter of Section 33, Township 49, Range 29 in Jackson County, Missouri aka 805 Salem Street.

Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Carolyn Baxter (RZ-2001-255), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission voted 5 to 2 to recommend approval of this application in a public hearing on November 15, 2001, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
