INTRODUCED BY Lisa White Hardwick, Fred Arbanas, John Patrick Burnett, Carl W. Bussey, Dennis Waits, Victor E. Callahan, Dixie M. Flynn, and John C. Graham, County Legislators

WHEREAS, Daniel Thomas Tarwater, III, met Paula Sue Dumit in the summer of 1982; and,

WHEREAS, Dan and Paula spent several years deciding if they should spend the rest of their lives together and, on Paula's birthday, April 8, 1990, Dan asked for Paula's hand in marriage in front of the J. C. Nichols Fountain on the Country Club Plaza; and,

WHEREAS, on May 11, 1991, on a beautiful spring day Daniel Thomas and Paula Sue committed their lives to each other in a marriage ceremony at St. Thomas More Catholic Church; and,

WHEREAS, on June 17, 1997, at 2:05 p.m. Dan and Paula's little angel, Abby Sue Tarwater, came into the world weighing 5 pounds, 7 ounces and measuring 19 3/4" in length; and,

WHEREAS, Dan, Paula, and baby Abby have made their home in South Kansas City; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that we, the fellow members of the Jackson County Legislature, extend our sincerest congratulations to Dan and Paula on the addition of Abby Sue to their family, and wish Dan, Paula, and Abby a joyous, wonderful life together .

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
