Body
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the County Code be amended to authorize the Director of Parks and Recreation to designate certain Parks and Recreation employees to occupy county-owned residential property to provide security and protection of county parks and residences; and,

WHEREAS, this proposal is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, as follows:

Section A. Enacting Clause. Enacting one new section of the Jackson County Code, 1984, to be known as section 5007., to read as follows:

5007. Director Authorized to Designate - Employee Occupied Property.
The director of parks and recreation shall have the authority to designate specific Parks and Recreation employees to occupy county-owned residential property within the parks system for the purpose of providing security and protection of county assets. The director is authorized to execute all documents, approved by the County Counselor, detailing the terms and conditions of the occupancy. The director shall present a list of designated employees and the assigned county-owned residential property to the County Executive and the County Legislature on an annual basis.






Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
