Development, L.L.C., to permit the installation, operation, and maintenance of a sanitary sewer transmission line through a portion of Prairie Lee Lake Park, in connection with the City's Woodland Shores Sanitary Sewer project.

Body
WHEREAS, G. & R. Development, L.L.C., and the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, is planning to construct a sanitary sewer to serve the Woodland Shores subdivision in Lee's Summit; and,
WHEREAS, in connection with this project, the City and developer have requested certain easements through property along Scruggs Road within the boundaries of Prairie Lee Lake Park adjacent to the proposed subdivision; and,
WHEREAS, the easements requested, which are described in the attached Agreement, are a permanent sanitary sewer easement across land totaling 37,570 square feet in area, and a temporary construction easement across an additional 24,665 square feet of land; and,
WHEREAS, the National Park Service and the Jackson County Parks and Recreation Department have reviewed the easement request and have no objections; and,
WHEREAS, the granting of these easements is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Agreement with the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and G.& R. Development, L.L.C.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
