Body
WHEREAS, the Environmental Health Administrator recommends revisions to bring the County Code provisions regarding liquor licenses and property taxes up to date; and,
WHEREAS, there is a need to remove the requirement to check liquor licenses and property taxes as there is no way to determine if these items have been paid on the Jackson County website; and,
WHEREAS, it is also appropriate at this time to revise the fees to Schedule 1 to new fees that reflect the rate of inflation as determined by the Consumer Price Index as this should be evaluated every two years; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Enacting Clause.
Sections 4031., and 4055., and Schedule I to Chapter 40, Jackson County Code, 1984, are hereby repealed and two new sections and one new schedule enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as sections. 4031., and 4055., and Schedule I., to read as follows:
4031. Permit Application.
Any person, firm, partnership, or corporation desiring to operate a Food Establishment, Temporary Food Establishment, Non-Profit Organization Temporary Food Establishment, Seasonal Food Establishment, Soft Serve Frozen Dessert Machine, Mobile Food Unit, Pushcart, Lodging Establishment, Food Processor/Warehouse, Farmers' Market Vendor Stall, Catering Operation, or Aquatic Venue shall make written application for a permit.
4031.1 Forms and Fees.
All applications for permits shall be made on forms provided by the Health Officer, and shall be accompanied by the appropriate fee as set out on Schedule 1 to this chapter. ...
