Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works recommends that the County and the City of Lee's Summit enter into a Cooperative Agreement to improve Blackwell Road extending from the south property line of Legacy Park southward to Langsford Road by widening Blackwell Road from two lanes to four undivided lanes with curb and gutter, storm sewers, sidewalks, and bikeways, and to improve Woods Chapel Road from I-470 east to the current four-lane improvement, consisting of an undivided four-lane asphalt roadway with curb and gutter, storm sewers, sidewalks, and bikeways; and,
WHEREAS, such an agreement is in the best interests of the health welfare, and safety of the citizens of the County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement with the City of Lee's Summit, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
