Body
WHEREAS, Kansas City Power & Light of Kansas City, MO, has requested a 20-foot permanent easement for the relocation of overhead power lines in connection with the Red Bridge Road improvement project; and,

WHEREAS, the permanent easement is in furtherance of a Federal stimulus funding project initiated by the City of Kansas City, Missouri; and,

WHEREAS, the City will pay the County a fee of $8,339.00 for the easement; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation has recommended that the County execute the attached easement as in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the attached Easement Conveyance is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the Easement on behalf of the County.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
