Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited bids, via Electronic Solicitation BB200588, for the furnishing, installation, and recycling of carpet for use Countywide; and,
WHEREAS, he distributed a total of thirty-one (31) solicitations and received one (1) response from the following:
BIDDER DISCOUNT OFFERED
R.D. Mann 15 - 18%
Kansas City, KS
and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director recommends award to R.D. Mann of Kansas City, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases remaining subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the purchase; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payments on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations are available.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
