A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to make application for the Missouri Local Records Grant from the Missouri Secretary of State.

Body
WHEREAS, the Missouri Secretary of State's Office provides funding for the Records Department's local records program; and,
WHEREAS, this program provides safe handling, microfilming, and storage of marriage licenses and applications; and,
WHEREAS, the total state share of the grant is $50,543.00 with a local match of $15,162.00; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the attached grant application, incorporated herein by reference.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
