Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 130-00 for a twelve-month term and supply contract for automatic transmission service for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments; and,

WHEREAS, he has received as the only two bids thereon bids from the following:

Certified Transmission $91, 947.00
Independence, (Jackson County) MO

Aamco Transmission $100, 452.00
Kansas City,(Jackson County) MO


and,

WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends the contract be awarded to Certified Transmission Rebuilders, Inc., of Independence, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract thereby made, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.
