AN ORDINANCE appropriating $61,182.00 within the 2005 Homeless Assistance Fund from the unappropriated surplus of said Fund for the purpose of covering the costs of authorized staff resources and personnel and setting the salary for the position of staff assistant for Housing Resources Commission.

Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 3592, dated January 3, 2005, the Legislature created the position of staff assistant; and,
WHEREAS, the funding of office costs and compensation of the position requires a transfer from the unappropriated surplus of the 2005 Homeless Assistance Fund; and,
WHEREAS, the Legislature is empowered to set the salary of the position and an annual salary of $41,266.00 plus benefits has been recommended; and,
WHEREAS, the total sum of $61, 182.00 has been recommended for this purpose and for operation of an office for the staff assistant in behalf of the Housing Resources Commission; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the salary of the position of staff assistant for the Housing Resources Commission is set at $41,266.00 plus benefits for the 2005 fiscal year; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made from the unappropriated surplus of the 2005 Homeless Assistance Fund:
