IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI

AN ORDINANCE appropriating $30,000 from the unappropriated surplus of the 1995 General Fund and authorizing the County Executive to execute an agreement with the Southern Christian Leadership Conference for funding of the 1996 King Birthday Celebration at a cost to the County not to exceed $30,000.

Body
WHEREAS, the County and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) desire to enter into an agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, whereunder the County will pay $30,000 to the SCLC to be used by SCLC for funding the 1996 King Birthday Celebration; therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1995 General Fund to cover the funding for 1996 King Birthday Celebration:

and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement.

Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon the signature of the County Executive.
