Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 17564, dated April 11, 2011, the Legislature did authorize the extension of the 2010 COMBAT agreement with Neighborhood Services (49/63) through September 30, 2011, to allow it more time to utilize the Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund allocation provided to it in 2010, but which it had encountered a delay in spending due significant staff changes; and,

WHEREAS, Neighborhood Services has resolved its staffing issues and has completed its services related to the 2010 agreement; and,

WHEREAS, the Jackson County Drug Commission has recommended that the County Executive be authorized to execute an agreement with Neighborhood Housing Services (49/63), in the amount of $7,150.00, for anti-drug prevention activities for services through December 31, 2011; and,

WHEREAS, the execution of an agreement for services provided by Neighborhood Housing Services (49/63), is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an agreement with Neighborhood Housing Services (49/63), in the amount of $7,150.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
