WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Public Safety has awarded the Prosecuting Attorney's office a grant in the amount of $30,856.00 to cover the cost of a victim advocate for its Victim Services Program; and,

WHEREAS, said grant is subject to a $6,171.00 local match for which a transfer and appropriation are necessary; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1998 Grant Fund:
