Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing pursuant to Section 1040.05 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends the purchase of two Ford Taurus 4-door sedans for use by the Jackson County Drug Task Force and one Ford Ranger pick-up for use by the Public Works Department, from Shawnee Mission Ford of Shawnee, KS, in the aggregate amount of $45,986.00, under the Joint Governmental Fleet bid, City of Lee's Summit, MO, Bid No. 67-003 of October 1, 1996, an existing government contract of the Mid-America Council of Public Purchasing; and,

WHEREAS, Section 1064.00, Jackson County Code, 1984, requires that, for any such purchase in excess of $5,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the purchase to the County Legislature for approval; and,

WHEREAS, in order to effect this purchase a transfer within the 1996 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund is necessary; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends such transfer; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the following transfer be and hereby is made within the 1996 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund:
