Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited written bids for the furnishing of a motor grader for use by the Public Works Department; and,

WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon the following:
VENDOR BID

Victor L. Phillips $122,543.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

Mid-America Industrial $136,733.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

Dean Machinery $156,878.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO


and,


WHEREAS, the acquisition of this new motor grader has rendered the existing grader as surplus property; and,


WHEREAS, pursuant to 1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of this grader by way of trade-in; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the existing grader be and hereby is declared surplus property and the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of it by way of trade-in...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
