IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI

A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute an agreement with the University of Missouri Extension Council of Jackson County for providing information on agriculture, business and industry, the community public sector, continuing education, 4-H Programs, and home economics to the residents of Jackson County at a cost to the County not to exceed $192,000.00.

RESOLUTION #10630, February 6, 1995 INTRODUCED BY John C. Graham and Victor E. Callahan, County Legislators Body WHEREAS, the County recognizes its statutory obligation to the extension program under Section 262.597, RSMo 1994; and,
WHEREAS, the County and the University of Missouri Extension Council of Jackson County desire to enter into an agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, whereby the Council will provide information on agriculture and home economics to county residents; and,
WHEREAS, the cost to the County under this agreement is $192,000.00 to be paid in monthly payments of $16,000.00; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the County and the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
