Body
WHEREAS, the City of Grandview, Missouri, has been advised that it has been awarded a Community-Oriented Policing Program (COPS) grant from the Missouri Department of Public Safety and has requested that the County now provide the local match in the amount of $6,376.00; and,

WHEREAS, the attached Agreement provides a suitable mechanism by which funds for the grant match can be turned over to the City of Grandview; therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1995 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund:
DEPARTMENT/DIVISION CHARACTER/DESCRIPTION FROM TO
Unappropriated Surplus $6,376

Prosecuting Attorney D.A.R.E. Program Community Crime Prevention $6,376

and,

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Prosecuting Attorney be and is hereby authorized to execute an Agreement in a form substantially similar to that attached, with the City of Grandview, Missouri; and,

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and is hereby authorized to make all payments including final payment of the Agreement.
Attorney Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage by the County Executive.
