A RESOLUTION approving a term and supply contract for the purchase of automotive batteries for use by the Consolidated Vehicle Service Center under Bid No. PA-2847, an existing government contract of the City of Kansas City, MO, from Exide Corporation of North Kansas City, MO, and Gooch Brake & Equipment Co. of Kansas City, MO, at a cost to the County not to exceed $10,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing pursuant to Section 1040.05 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends the purchase of automotive batteries, for use by the Consolidated Vehicle Service Center, under Bid No. PA-2847, an existing government contract of the City of Kansas City, Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, Section 1064.00, Jackson County Code, 1984, requires that, for any such purchase in excess of $5,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the purchase to the County Legislature f r approval; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the purchase under the existing government contract be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the purchase; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Divisio of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
