Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 18728, dated February 9, 2015, the Legislature did authorize the execution of Cooperative Agreements with Rose Brooks Domestic Violence Shelter in the amount of $23,700.00 and with Arts Tech in the amount of $38,300.00, to provide anti-violent crime programs and activities funded by the Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund; and,
WHEREAS, Rose Brooks Shelter has requested that its award for anti-violent crime programming be reduced to $4,397.00 for 2015 for the reason that it is concluding its Green Dot Bystander Intervention program this semester and can only utilize that portion of its allocation; and,
WHEREAS, Arts Tech has submitted a request to COMBAT staff to expand its Anti-Violence Special Initiative program to allow the agency to reach out to additional youth that are at risk for gang-related activities; and,
WHEREAS, this additional funding allocation for Arts Tech will allow it to increase the number of at-risk youths in its programming from 55 to 100 juveniles; and,
WHEREAS, as a result of the requested changes, Rose Brook Shelter's Agreement will be modified to reduce its funding by $19,303.00 and Art Tech's Agreement will be modified to increase its funding by $18,000.00, to cover the additional costs incurred; and,
WHEREAS, Addenda to the Cooperative Agreements with each agency is a suitable mechanism to memorialize the budget modifications; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute Addenda to the Cooperative Agreement...
